    Aaron Greene Bennett, the seventh and last child of James and Mary (Polly Evans] Bennett was born in North Carolina and traveled with his family to Indian Creek Township, Monroe Co, IN circa 1830. He served in the Mexican War 1847-48 and received an honorable discharge dated 21 July 1848. He was listed as a Private, 5ft 11 in, sallow complexion, gray eyes and dark hair. Farming was his occupation. Aaron and his wife Mary Ann and their child, Jacob C b. 1868 d. 1869 are buried in the East Cemetery, section 28. (out of Oolitic, IN.
