Duncan, born 31 May 1900, Bloomington, Monroe Co, IN; died 29 Dec,
1988, Brownsburg, Hendricks, IN. Father is Joseph Asbury Duncan, Mother is Alice Susan Eades. Clara
was raised on a farm. Her parents were Pentecostal religion. Her siblings were
1. Nora Duncan Eads Cain, now deceased, had 3 sons Clarence, George, Harold Cain.
One of them had to be an Eads because Clara told us of a cousin of hers, Lee Eads was sheriff of Marion Co several
years; 2. John Henry Duncan deceased had 4 children; 3. Cora Pearl Duncan Burke deceased had no children;
4. Gilbert Franklin Duncan deceased no children; 5. Myrtle Duncan never married deceased;
6. Clara Helen Bennett deceased; 7. Leonard Duncan, married Ethel both deceased;
8 Sara Lou Duncan deceased. Her house caught fire & she died as a result of
the fire, she had burns over 60% of her body. She had at least two children will have to try & find out where there names are.

children include:
Kathy Nichols. The year after Carl died a woman named Kathy Nichols called us
and told us she was hunting for her dad, her mother told her his name was Carl Edmund Bennett. She had been raised in the Children's Home in Indianapolis on Irvington Boulevard within two blocks of where Dorothy & Red lived for all of their married lives. She had also married
and lived on N. Hamilton Street where she still lives. I believe she said she has 3 sons. No one ever knew about her till then.

married Opal Bernice Cobb on February 21, 1969. Opal Bernice Cobb,
b. June 17, 1920. Opal is
also deceased (as of 2000). She died of cancer several years after Carl died. At the time of her
marriage to Carl she had five grown children. Her first husband died of cancer.
Carl died at
home of a heart attack. Carl lived in
Indianapolis, all of his life. His was in the Seabees as a young man and joined the U.
S. Navy at the beginning of World War II. He served on the flatbed U S.S. Roosevelt. He
worked on transports and saw many horrific sights during his time in service. He did not
come home till the War was over. (Source 1)

Howard Roy Shepard ("Shep") on 1-03-1942. Shep was born
11-24-1921.
Howard joined the U. S. Marine Corps, at the beginning of World War II, & served in
the Pacific during his
time of service, he too never came home until the war was over. He got malaria while he
was there & suffered with it most of the rest of his life.
Several years after the birth of their three children, Shep's work
transferred him to Tupelo, Mississippi where they lived until his death. Since that time Jean
lives with her daughter, Donna, and son-in-law in Portsmouth, Va. with her daughter.
Children Include:

Nancy Jean Shepard, born 10-03-1944, died 6-17-1992
Nancy was a nurse, she
worked & took care of Bobby & her daughters for several years as he had lymphoma
cancer. He was not able to work for at least 5 years.

Daniel Paul "Danny" Shepard, born May 13th, 1958.
Danny owns a restaurant in Portsmouth called
"Mama Jean's Cafe", it is doing booming business.
married Edwina, born abt. 1938. They met in California when Danny was in the Marine Corp.
They since have moved to Texas, California, Mississippi & now live in Portsmouth, Va. One of
Edwina's daughters had a child. Danny adopted the child and her name is Dana pronounced
